    3. I have had no luck at all in finding out who the parents of my George S. Applegate are. Of course it doesn't help that I have different ages and different birth places for him. Below is the notes on all I know of him. If anyone can help or point me in the right direction I would appreciate the help. George Applegate served in the CSA as a Sgt. in Co. H, 30th MS Inf. Cameron & Duncan Young subscribing witnesses thereto that the said writing was made in full by the testator. It is therefore considered by the court and so advised that the said writing be taken & considered as the last will & testament of the said George S. Applegate deceased and that the same be recorded by the Clerk in ______ this the 24th day of Oct. 1887. Jno. H. Drune, Clerk It's disappointing that George didn't name his children in his will. Of course I have all the names of his children from the census records, however I have not been able to trace all of them in the later census records and perhaps some of them may have died before their father. Also it would have been nice to see him name his daughters with their married names since I don't have marriages for all of them. I was also able to trace George's son George William Applegate to Texas: 1880 Delta Co., TX census; Pct. 1; page 482A: George Applegate, age 29, carpenter, b. MS,, father b. NJ, mother b. VA Mary, wife, age 25, keeping house, b. TX, father b. KY, mother b. LA Willie, dau., age 7, b. TX Lamon, son, age 4, b. MS Edgar, son, age 2/12, b. 1. RECENT (LAST 200 YEARS) APPLEGATE IMMIGRANTS
    2. Hi all A month or three ago there was a list of Applegate immigrants posted. What made this posting unique was that it listed Applegates who were not descended from First Tom the Terrible. They were subsequent emmigrants and some of them were of non-English origin. Alas, I lost that list along with a whole bunch of other stuff. Would the sender please send me a replacement copy. Thanks in advance. Have fun Tony In God we trust
