Just a few very quick examples from 1850 census-easily found online at Ancestry.com Ill, Lawrence Co hh 307 George Applegate 45 b. Germany, Ill, Edwards Co Joseph Applegate 60 b. England Mich, Port Huron John Applegate 42 b England NJ, MonmouthCo, Middletown hh 517 John Applegate 28 b. Germany NY, Oneida Thomas Applegate 37 b.
