Anyone researching the Applegate surname, that would be connected to the Sawtelle surname, and then connected by married to the Hesselton, Nolen/Nolan, Hamlin/Hamblen, Moore, I'd be interested in sharing our lineage. I have found after ten years of research the parents of Hattie Elenor Hesselton, that married Frederick Adolphus Sawtelle, The way the Applegate surname comes in, is one of their children, also named Hattie C. Sawtelle, married into the Applegate family. We are all connected. The Sawtelles came to first Nevada, then California, from Maine in 1850s. I am a grandmother having researched now about 25 years, first on paper then the good ole computer.
