I am still trying to find William Applegate who married Samantha Gregory, daughter of Zimri Gregory. William Applegate was born about 1830 and was listed as born in Ohio and Illinois. I have checked out several William's but never seems to be the right one. Son John Applegate was born in Iowa 1852.

Hi! Do you know where in Iowa? I have Applegate relatives in Keokuk Co, and especially Bertram IA around that time.
