    3. The ones I have on my site at http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=rossgede&id=I2657 7 include 8 Bownes. I have one marrying an Applegate. Joseph Bowne b.1765 m. Annie Applegate and had 5 children. What I have on them is there. In the Applegate Family In America by Hugh Voress, I found: 5A4C1L2. Virginia(Jennie) Applegate, born Feb. 19, 1860; died 1888. She married at New Brunswick, NJ on Monday, Dec. 7, 1881 with the Rev. W. J. McKnight, officiating, to David G. Bowne, of Jamesburg, NJ, born ; died 1899. Children listed. There are probably others in there, since the Bownes and Applegates were neighbors especially in early American history. Hope this helps - Ross ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gregory Bowne" <gregbowne@earthlink.net> To: <APPLEGATE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, June 28, 2003 12:33 PM Subject: [APPLEGATE] APPLEGATE - BOWNE marriage I would like info on an APPLEGATE marring a BOWNE thanks Audrey Bowne Seattle gregbowne@earthlink.net

    2. Hi Ross; I appreciate your help with the Applegate Family. This is a new line for me and I just feeling my way. The web sites Filled in a lot of empty spaces but did not nail down her parents. I will try and get a copy of the books you mention! I think that the Applegates will be a fun family to research. Thanks for all the help! John

    3. In the Applegate Family In America by Hugh Voress (the searchable database at http://www.jerry-applegate.org/genealogy/thomas1/desc03.htm#433 ) you find just Rebecca's name given, but all of her ancestry. CALENDAR OF NEW JERSEY WILLS, VOLUME I, 1670-1730; Paterson NJ, 1901, pg.15 1700 Oct. 15. Appelgat, Daniel, senior, of Middlesex, Monmouth Co.; will of. Wife Rebeckah sole Heiress and executrix of real and personal estate; the children - John and Jacob, receiving each 6s.; Bartholomew, Ebenezer, Susana, Hanah, Mary and Rebeckah, each one. Witnesses - John Newman, Thomas Shepard, Thomas Appelgat. Proved September 7, 1710. Lib. 1, p. 280, and Monmouth Wills. To find that she was the one married to Matthew Gracey, there is a book at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah titled The Gracy Family of New York and Texas, 929.273 G753g , p.148. Also http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=trish1947&id=I572 97 For her marriage to John Tilton of Monmouth, NJ, there is the Applegate Family History, by Donald T. Applegate, available on microfilm at or ordered from the Family History Library in Salt Lake, FHL US/CAN Film 973, p. 471. I hope this helps some. 3. Hi Dan, I live in Baker City. God's Country. We have lived in Portland, Beaverton, Milwaukie, and Aloha. Also Colorado Springs, CO. for a couple of years. We love it here. It is soooo quiet, and restful. What kind of recreation ideas? We like to go four-wheeling, mostly. Also camping, hunting, and fishing. 2. CK I'm finally doing follow-up on mail received over the last couple months. Thanks for the death date on Jane. I didn't have it. Jane had lots of siblings besides Mary. It is sparse on info but II can send the whole list if you wish. Right out here in the open, although some of our earlier ancestors should be sent in a plain brown wrapper.
