How I wish I could connect them. I have some info that I am sure you have that was printed in a Texas Genealogical Society booklet. I'll have to look for it. Don't think I have Feldon's parents or grandparents names, which would probably help alot. Becky mentioned a line #5 of the Applegates. Is there a website with the Applegate Geneology listed on it. My husbands grandmother was Annie Josaphine Applegate who was married to Benjamin Harrison Winningham. Her parents were Feldon Hawk Applegate and Mary M. Cannon. Scharlene Winningham
Hi Tony, Sorry it took so long for me to reply. With all his computer games and no school, I have to fight for some computer time right now. :-)) I'll have to find out about Cranbury. I saw your other posting, and at least we're both from the #5 line of Applegates. We started being cousins after the second Thomas - our line came from Benjamin thereafter. Greetings! I'm new to the list but not to Applegate hunting. Some of you have had contact with me and some of you have not. I am NOT the administrator of this list and he/she (is Dan still the head honcho?) and you may all lash me with wet noodles AFTER you all read this! One of my biggest pet peeves is subject lines. I have just spent two days wading through the Applegate mail list archives at Rootsweb. Do you realize how many posts say "My family", "My Line", "Seasons", "Digest #", "Roll Call", "Applegate" or what have you? Folks, NO ONE is going to go to the Rootsweb mail list archives and run a search for "My Family" or "Roll Call". If there aren't names, dates or locations in your subject lines how in the world do you expect anyone to find you or to make a possible match? Please take the time to make sure your subject line matches what's actually in your post. You may be surprised at the responses you get! TIA, Pat Mount

Okay cousins. You force me to drag out my descendency line. It does not show the change in spelling that occurred about 200 years ago. In the following list, (A) means Applegate or similar name. I used it on the Excel spread sheet that I used to picture the tree in order to hold the printed size down. In my case, it is somewhat necessary to tell all the Thomases and Anthonys apart. This is accomplished by giving birth and/op death dates or wives names. But I have spoken too much. LaVelle LaVelle, I have Thomas APPLEGATE born between 1590 - 1604 in Norfolk, Norfolkshire, England, son of John Applegate.. He married about 1620 in Norfolk, England to: Elizabeth Mary WALL, born 1604 in Norfolk, England. Thomas died between 1656 - 1662 in Gravesend, Breukelen, Niew Nederland Colony. (I love this part, as I have living Italian relatives who grew up in Gravesend Bay, Brooklyn, New York. Gravesend Bay is next to Coney Island. So they never changed the name, just Anglicized the spelling.) Elizabeth Mary died 1674 in Middlesex County, New Jersey, and is interred at Old Dutch Cemetery in Middlesex County, New Jersey. I show that they had at least, two sons: Thomas B. APPLEGATE born about 1632 in Gravesend, Breukelen, Niew Nederland Colony. Bartholomew APPLEGATE (I have no other information on this son and I sometimes wonder if Thomas' middle initial didn't stand for Bartholomew and he went by his middle name to avoid confusion with his father. Just a guess.) Thomas B. died 1 Feb 1699 in Nutswamp Middleton, Monmouth County, New Jersey. Thomas B. married 1678 in Monmouth County, New Jersey to: Joanna GIBBONS, born 1653 in Norfolk, England, died date unknown in Nutswamp, New Jersey. The children of Thomas B.
