    3. I guess this still qualifies as a brick wall. I have Richard Applegate (1815 - 1891) in Kentucky who married Rebecca Spriggs (1830 - 1883) of Jackson County Ohio. The marriage occurred in Scioto County, Ohio April 1, 1847. They spent the first couple of years in Greenup County Kentucky and by the mid 1850s had moved to Campbell County KY. By the late 1870s they had moved into Cincinnati, Hamilton County Ohio and several of the daughters married in Cincinnati. It has been stated that Richard was the son of James Applegate (ca 1770 - 1835) and (Charity Norman) but I have never seen any reference for this. James has been shown as son of Jacob Henry Applegate (1746-1819) and Mary Prudence Wallingford (1756 - 1850s). That is possible but I have questioned this since that makes his mother 14 when James was born. I would like to have some evidence linking Richard to parents and earlier ancestry. I would also like to exchange info with anyone linked to this branch of the Applegate family or with Applegate relatives in the Campbell County, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Hamilton County Ohio area that they can't link to a specific family. Hello Everyone, Does any of your relatives have lived in Nevada, early on, 1880's, and then Eagleville, California, Sawtelle Hotel, there, anyway, I am related to the Sawtelle girl, who married an Applegate man. He rode pony express trail in California, and the family is quite large from their marriage. If any Applegates, did live in said places, let me know and I can share with you, and we can exchange data. I live in Northern California, a grandmother, 74, and have searched these lines 20 years.
