Rutledge, Jr. His mother was Virginia Rutledge and his father was George William Rutledge (Alexandria, VA). George died in WWll, he was a co-pilot on a B-24 J bomber that was shot down over Gotha, Germany. Virginia re-married to an Apperson and was living in Indianapolis, IN in 1947. Family story has that George, Jr went to California and became a professor. He may have changed his name to Apperson. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
