I have a female Raley/Riley that had been married to an Apperson in possibly OH. In a probate for a James Raley/Riley there was mention of a child by the name of Apperson. I am assuming that this female had passed by the time this Raley/Riley family rfeached Clay Co, IL. The parents of this family were John Raley/Riley born abt 1787 NC & Catherine born abt 1795 MD. John & Catherine had five sons and one daughter that reached Clay Co, IL. Vesta Ann Raley/Riley born IN was married to a Davis Foster in Clay Co, IL. I have a female Raley/Riley married to an Apperson in OH or IN. In a probate of James Ralet/Riley this info was listed. I assume that this female Raley/Riley had passed by the time these families reached Clay Co, IL. A James Raley/Riley born in OH was married to a Sarah Ann Shepherd in abt 1819 Tippecanoe, IN. I have not been able to find my Raley/Rileys in OH or IN until they settled in Clay Co, IL. The parents of this Raley/Riley family was John Raley SR born abt 1787 NC & Catherine born abt 1795 MD. Apperson. Since I'm not familiar with the old style of handwriting, will someone please look at the posting and see if I have the name right? I am not an Apperson, will not be buying this, am certainly not selling it, but hope that one of you will recognize whether I've got the name right & let me know. It is quite similar to a family name on my tree and I have trouble with the old style of penmanship. Hi Folks, I am searching for the parents of Daniel W. Apperson, born abt. 1835 in Alabama, and died after 1880. He married Isabella Rocksina Allen 19 Apr 1868 in Itawamba County, Mississippi. He may have gone by "Danal" of some near-derivative of Daniel/Donald. It looks like she was previously married to a Beachum. Best, Gregg --------------------------------- Yahoo! Messenger with Voice.
