Born and raised in Las Cruces, NM and moved to Santa Fe with her family in 1968, where she began her career at the New Mexico Highway Department and retired in 1997. She is preceded in death by her parents Florencio and Eloisa Tome, husband Epifanio D. Apodaca, her son Gary T. Apodaca, and son in-law George Werner. She is survived by her daughter Carla Werner, M.D., Caryn Apodaca, Eric Apodaca, and wife Reyna, and grandchild Jerod and Candice. Daughter in-law Catherine Apodaca, and grandsons, Tomas, Daniel and Zachary Apodaca. A rosary will be recited at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 8:15 to 9:00 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. The burial will be private.
