I have been having the same problem with my computer and AOL for a few days. Yesterday, my AOL failed and restarted about 5 times in as many minutes. Thank goodness they have changed something so I don't lose whatever mail I am reading when it suddenly fails. I have a program that helps by re-allocating my RAM. Because of this program, I can see what my current RAM is at all times. I have 512 installed. When AOL is running, which is most of the time, I only have about 200 RAM, but at times it goes extremely low and that is when I start having the freezing up problems. While I was typing this my RAM dropped to 15 and then was re-newed back to 198. I am wondering what is using so much RAM. I don't run the computer check very often so I guess I will do so now. I will also write Senior Newbie about this problem to see what they think.
