    1. DIAL-UP for $9.95 opportunity to existing customers.
    2. Perhaps, some on this list do not understand that many plan prices including the 17.95 plan is still in effect for thousands of subscribers of Dial-Up. How that happened was months back when the majority of Dial-Up customers were charged $26 and higher in various parts of the USA, and thousands found out they were being charged for BROADBAND and DSL access they did not have. All those reductions of those fees to customers with Dial-Up resulted in the roll back to $17.95 a month. That seems to be history now, but ONLY if you use the KEYWORD option or make personal Phone calls to AOL. CURRENTLY if you use the Change Plan at your KEYWORD tab, the following will be displayed only if you SELECT the $9.95 option. YOU must select Change to $9.95 to read the following data, but before you click that $9.95 option, it gives a warning notice, that a click will change your plan. AOL Basic Dial-up $9.95 This plan gives you unlimited dial-up Internet access from AOL. This Plan includes: > 24/7 live customer Support by phone, chat and e-mail > AOL Security Suite > 7 AOL Screen Names > Unlimited photo and e-mail storage > 200 + Radio stations with 70 XM radio stations > UNLIMITED dial-up Internet access Please Note: This price plan will go into effect on your next billing cycle date. You will still be under your current plan until this change becomes effective. > You will be responsible for any other charges you might have incurred since your last billing date as well as any outstanding balance on your account and any premium services to which you have separately subscribed. > An additional $5 monthly charge will still apply if Premium services or additional fees are paid through your checking account or telephone bill. > > > > > > The above message should explain or answer many questions being posted by those who currently have Dial-UP plans with AOL. I know all questions will not be answered that may exist. on our list. It is my personal speculation that this plan of $9.95 probably is going to change in the future, as AOL has never remained the same over the years of its existence. Remember it is your choice to increase your personal expenses for Broadband and DSL Now access to AOL for those will be free of additional fee as long as you use AOL Software and versions that can access Broadband or DSL. > JOHN in CA The AOL software and its e-mail system hopefully will remain and improve as the months go with less world wide staff that has been announced in the media.
