Gerri, I'm not sure if this is accurate information, but last year AOL called me and asked me if I wanted to change to an AOL cable connection. I chose to stay with dial-up because they were offering it for $55 a month and I couldn't afford that on a Senior Citizen's income. But from what I could understand about the explanation, AOL offers it's OWN cable connection which is separate from Time Warner cable or fuse.net cable (which is cinci.rr.com). Could that be where the misunderstanding comes from? Maybe you need to call them again and ask that specific question. Is the service free ONLY if they come out to your house and install an AOL cable connection? Is it because you're using a Time Warner cable connection the reason they're still charging you? The only reason I say this is because my daughter and her family lived with me for 6 months last summer while they were waiting to move into a new house, and they had Time Warner cable installed for the TV's but they had a different cable installed for their computers (fusenet for cinci.rr.com). I'm just a neophyte with all this stuff so I may not know what I'm talking about. Marilyn --------------------original message--------------------- In a message dated 8/16/2006 3:36:52 A.M.
