we should see our list be migrated to the new software in the coming hours. RootsWeb has been working very hard to resolve the problems we've been having with the mail delivery to AOL from the new list server. Since the RootsWeb list server we will be moving to is NEW even though it IS white-listed with AOL I'm told we still might experience some "issues." I've learned that AOL has two types of white listing--one for old trusted proven non-spammers and the other for brand new servers that are not yet proven. Being a new server our list will be going through the new server white list which can cause delays in delivery for a short time and can result in some or all of the list mail going into your spam folder. Therefore, after the list migration it is imperative for you to check your spam folder and if you find list mail there BE SURE TO CLICK THE *THIS IS NOT SPAM* link to send the list mail to your inbox. It is VERY important to help train the filters and let AOL know that this new server can be trusted. So please remember this. Also--when the changeover comes, if you have the list name in your address book on AOL be sure to remember to change the list name to delete the -L from the name as the list will become aolers-rootsweb (with no -L).
