Did you try dragging the window from the very bottom, below the ad? Move your cursor around until you see the arrows pointing up and down, then pull it down with your cursor ... it opens up the rest of the window. At first this morning, I couldn't even move the lines up and down as the gray area on the right side was also missing. Got that and the icons back by stretching to the right. Hope it works for you.
