Sharon, It is so tempting to just drop AOL, but I have the same situation as does Joan. I have been working on genealogy for years and my email is on hundreds of RootsWeb messages. I still get responses and inquiries from messages that are 2-3 years old, so changing ISPs would be difficult. I also sent complaints to POSTMASTER and TOSGENERAL, as well as to TELL US MORE. I doubt sending the complaint to the first two will make a difference, but it is worth a shot. Here is the text of my complaint, "The inclusion of the outrageous banner ads at the bottom of this window is one of the most foul, disgusting, annoying and revolting changes AOL has ever devised. Most interesting is that when the developers first introduced this change to the beta testers there was such a barrage of complaints the change was dropped. But someone has obviously overruled the developers. All you have accomplished is to make your customers very, very mad.
