The adds removed are those at the bottom of the individual email. I called AOL (800-827-6364 the number for dial up) After describing the problem they referred me to a tech support (888-346-3704). Explained the problem and that I wanted the adds to be removed. Was walked through the change ......click the AOL icon lower right corner.......click System Information........click Utilities........click Quick Restore.........click Proceed.......click OK and Close. It did not go smoothly after that and I don't know if there is a relationship between the two events. I could not get a dial-tone, the modem wasn't working. When the error message appeared again and again, I click on Help and Auto Fix. That worked, the adds at the bottom of the individual emails are gone........so far! Dave Florida
