    1. Re: [AOL-RW] connectivity problems........
    2. There have been a couple of times when it's been a pain logging on but that was also before the Free thing. In surfing today and yesterday though, it does seem slower even though I have cable. I don't think the Free thing is the problem because I cannot conceive of that many people going free that fast. When it gets to 'checking password', it goes no where so I have to back out of it and try again to logon. When I do get into AOL, immediately it 'stops responding' so I have to wait for it to respond which takes a minute or so. I've had new mail that I've tried to open only to get a message 'this email is currently not available' and on a few occasions, when I try to open the old or sent email folder, its blank and I know there is email in those folders. Response time is slow and getting worse. I use Charter Pipeline and when they say their fastest speed is 10Mbps, I show that I'm at 11Mbps, so I don't think Charter is the problem. I thought it might be my firewall and virus detector slowing things down or maybe they were at the wrong settings. I use a wireless router to 'piggyback' another computer in the house that the Charter Pipeline is connected to. I use PC-cillin and they told me to use the setting of 'wireless connection' as opposed to 'home network'. (I sure hope some of this makes sense). Is AOL on overload with now being 'free' and everyone being able to use it or is anyone else experiencing these problems??? I'm at my wits end and just about ready to drop AOL but I've been with them since 1996 and I really do like them but for some reason, everything about them now seems to be 'going down the toilet'..... Thanks! Julee
