I apologize for this topic not having to do with Rootsweb, but I recently read that some can use Heritage Quest Online through their local public library. When I tried this morning it would not accept my card number and I got the following message: These databases are provided through subscriptions underwritten by the Solano, Napa, and Partners (SNAP) Library Consortium. If you have trouble accessing any of these databases and you have a personal firewall, set your personal firewall to allow referring urls. I am afraid to mess with my firewall without knowing what I am doing ... can anyone out there guide me through the steps? I believe I may have two firewalls, but am not certain. I have the Security from AOL, does that include the Windows firewall that I find on my Control Panel? Too confused ... and will be thankful for any help.
