I've been with Comcast since 1999 and haven't had any problems--I'm still on my original cable modem--but you can go out and buy your own and save the $3 per month rent they charge on the modem. Sounds like something is wrong with yours and you need to insist they make it right. Like someone else mentioned--insist on talking to the manager/supervisor. Joan
