And with all the random characters instead of a logical file name I would guess they are also. Try going into SAFE MODE and run your AV software in that mode. Following a complete virus scan this morning, the results tab on my AOL Safety and Security Center showed that the following files were suspect, but could not be cleaned: cbtdrtcj.exe enpmsgfa.exe eqmfexdm.exe fvneauis.exe nqkstwpr.exe tjfiduxg.exe timhbnka.exe All of the files are found in C:/Windows/system32. They show recent creation dates. The size is 17.3 KB, and use 20.0 KB of disk space. Does anyone have comments about whether they should be deleted? Wilson I followed your advice, and deleted them. I must have done something right, because, afterwards, Spybot S&D did not show any VirtuMundo infection! Thanks
