Everything is working fine now. Unfortunately, it's a lap top and I don't like working on a lap top, but it certainly is easier than the problems I was having with the other computer and AOL. Virginia Green I live in the UK and have had the same problem for well over a month now. I use DSL and Windows XP. AOL have tried everything to help. They even sent out a BT engineer who changed the master telephone socket for an ordinary one. Even though it is recommended to use a master socket where possible. It did not cure the problem. Eventually, AOL sent out a new Broadband modem. I installed the new modem, cables and filters. Things seemed fine for a few hours but today it was back to normal or rather abnormal this morning when it took me seven hours to get on line. Leaving the computer on and AOL connected does not work for me as it just chucks me off line from time to time. It is getting a little too much to put up with so any help or advice would be really appreciated. Many thanks in anticipation.
