The business news channel (CNBC) discussed a possible new business strategy by AOL, wherein AOL would be providing free access to those who access their AOL account via Broadband, with their revenues coming from advertisers, not from these subscribers. Those who would access AOL via dial-up would still have to pay AOL a monthly fee (thereby encouraging these dial-upers to switch to Broadband).
