It does the same thing on one of my computers (my desktop) and not the other one (my laptop). I connect with cable and my solution has been to simply stay connected 24/7. There doesn't seem to be anything to do that will change this unfortunate glitch. I brought it to the attention of the developers during 9.0 testing, but I was one of *very, very* few that was experiencing it. They deemed it negligible in the overall picture for the time it would take to search it down and try to figure it out. Well, it's really annoying to me as I'm sure it is to you! I don't know if staying online 24/7 is a solution to you or if you can simply stay online all day without a problem. When I had dial-up, I signed on in the morning when I booted up and stayed on until I shut the computer down at night. In fact I did the same thing when I got cable, until the past year or so..... now I just keep the 'puter on, rebooting every few days or so when something requires it. Unless, of course one of my kids accidentally closes my AOL, then I have to reboot to get it back up and running. Not too much help, I know.......... Sharon Thank you Sharon, I wish I could that but I only have one phone line coming into my home and my wife and G-Children is on the line all day just about, so It is impossible for me to stay online all day. I tried having a separate line for my computer once a couple of years ago but my phone bill was almost double what it normally is and I could not afford that so I had it disconnected. Lloyd
