Rebooting on occasion, yes--but never support. A cable modem shouldn't cost more than $60 and by paying $3 monthly for rental--you could have bought a modem in under two years. Even if you need to replace it in three years time--you are still financially ahead of the game. Plus there are many offers out there for those considering moving up to cable where they get the modem with a rebate offer for FREE if they also sign up for cable service--can't beat that.
