Judy ---- Judy- When you use AOL you grant AOL a limited type of access to your computer to perform certain tasks. When you use the computer checkup and the spyware program they are checking and blocking various things they find on your computer. Only in rare cases does AOL become more invasive than that as to your computer--one example I can think of is when they changed all the settings on AOL users' computers to OFF for Microsoft's Windows Messenger as they were getting too many complaints about it. AOL did this before Microsoft issued Service Pack II which also changed the default setting to OFF. Joan
