I've never put a person in my blocked list, but I do use the word blockers to reduce spam. This was needed before AOL did lots of filtering. If a person annoys me, I just delete their mail before reading it or just ignore them if I don't like what they are saying. If you sub to those lists in digest mode you won't have that problem because the digests come from the list address. In the case mentioned below the address being blocked WAS the list address and the subscriber was subbed to the digests--so nothing I could do but unsub the person--they clearly were blocking mail FROM the list and not just another individual.
