LOL Ema, no... I think they're out to make us all paranoid ("They're out to get me."). They have written out "scripts" of what to say and macros for "usual fixes" and they just don't seem to know how to deviate from them. I once had a Norton supervisor on the phone and we were waiting for my computer to do the step. I tried making pleasant small-talk with him (instead of silence) and he really seemed uncomfortable. My best question was asking him about living conditions in his country, especially in 110-degree heat, and current economics of his country.
