As stated previously, I click on My Favorites and the Favorite Place window opens with Favorite Places at the top of the window highlighted. I press Control +F key and the Find in Top Window screen appears. I type in what I wish to find and press Find. I just retested my statement by typing PCworld in the Find window since I knew that was one of my favorites. It works fine for me, but maybe because I'm using 8.0.
