And they have all complained about this junk slowing their computers down. I think that's true for PCs. However, AOL seems not to download stuff to MACs. I have never noticed it, nor have I had any problems with AOL slowing my MACs down. Re: your email addresses - We have had two dial-up AOL accounts, as dial-up acess was all that was available to us, and more than one person cannot get online on one AOL dial-up account. DSL became available to us in August, so I cancelled one AOL account. I can still use AOL web mail to get to the addresses on the cancelled account. I kept the other account just for convenience; AOL is pretty user-friendly, and I'm used to it. I don't particuarly care for webmail. You need pay only $9.95 a month for an AOL account without phone technical support, I believe, which you should not need if you aren't using dial-up.
