Sharon- Are you SURE you are talking about a NEW Welcome page or might the page you are seeing when you have the "disconnect" problem be the OLD smaller Welcome page showing up? That has happened to me a few times and the page only shows up when the actual current Welcome page doesn't load properly/timely and that creates a "not responding" situation and eventually disconnects you.
