Hi Judy :) You can see The Web welcome screen if you go to AOL.com. Jeannie :) In a message dated 7/27/2008 12:55:13 P.M. I know, wishful thinking. I'm not sure what the "web welcome screen " looks like. I'll try to do a Print Screen of the NEW screen I see and maybe someone here will let me send it privately in an email. That'll be the only way to get an ID of what it is. Anyway, it's got to be AOL. Jeannie, The Welcome screen I see at www.aol.com and what I call the OLD Welcome screen are the same. In fact, they should be the same (shouldn't they?). Maybe I'm wrong-- before I sign in on the Web address, the screen I see is the OLD, same as I set in My Preferences on the software. If I'm not signed into the Web (to get mail), would My Preferences still apply? Anyway, the NEW Welcome screen that occassionally appears is NOT the one that shows on the web AOL.
