While I was still on dial-up I frequently had that problem - and I have stayed with AOL-7 as I don't want all the fancy graphics that come with the later versions. The thing that really made me mad was the notice which said "If the problem persists go to Keyword "System Response"" which you can't do if your system isn't responding!!! If you can possibly change to broadband I really recommend that you do it. I "converted" about a month ago after resisting for a couple of years. What a difference!
