Joan, this is what I have done in the past and it worked great. I usually tell people if I can do it anyone can because I am still playing novice despite being a computer user since 1997. I didn't even know I had a little camera on the AOL bar until a couple of years ago. I saw the Smiley though <G> Virgene .............................................................. I guess I must believe in doing things the hard way but I never use the camera icon to insert a photo in my emails. Here's how I do it and I CAN resize them: 1) click FILE > OPEN and select the PICTURES folder. 2) Scroll through the photos and find the one you want to insert in the email and highlight it. 3) click to open the photo. 4) click on insert in email and the photo will be inserted in an email. (If this is the email you will be using to send the photo this is all you need to do before resizing it.) 5) If you wish to insert the photo that popped into an email into another existing email highlight the photos and copy it and then paste it into the email body you are using to send the email. 6) To resize the photos click on the photo and the "box" that surrounds the photo will appear. Move your cursor to the edge or corner of the photo until the cursor becomes a double-edged arrow. Hold down the mouse and slide the edge of the photo to whatever size you want it to be. Do the same for width/depth or total size (from the corners). Another alternative option would be to edit the photo before selecting the insert in email option. Joan
