I haven't had that problem but I've noticed over the past few days that clicking to open an email -- it can hang for a while before the email opens. I had thought maybe McAfee's recent updates were responsible--thought maybe the delay was the scan of the email content, but that certainly wouldn't apply to your initial sign-on.
