This was happening to me. I was having small troubles with AOL for some time, but ignored them. Finally I was not able to dial-up at all. AOL has sent me a new 9.0 disc once the Tech realized my software was too corrupt to repair. My instructions are to uninstall all AOL manually then install the new disc. Been using free AOL anywhere until I am fixed. The Tech said it was important, once I got the disc, to call back and tell them I want to manually un-install all AOL files. I don't know if there is more to that then meets the eye or not.
