You don't have to INSTALL anything to get AOL to connect via broadband---it is just a settings change in your sign-on settings. You usually don't really have to install anything to get the broadband connection either even though many of these companies try to make you think you do. As long as your cable modem or whatever you need for your new service is wired in you will have the broadband access once they get it running. You should also have a router between the new modem and your computer to serve as a firewall if nothing else because the broadband connection will be "live" 24/7.
