See if in addition to the regular McAfee you now have one that says McAfee Security Scan Plus--this in addition to the regular McAfee. This is the one that is saying no Internet protection. The regular McAfee says I'm fully protected--Internet and everything. It was the installation of the Security Scan Plus that I had to restart -- it was just a couple days ago and seems to do scans separate and apart from the regular McAfee Suite for AOL. You can tell when they are downloading because it gets sooo slow, and the same when I install them. It doesn't usually tell me to restart the computer. But many times I do get the box that comes up and says "You're computer is not fully protected" then when I bring up McAfee, it will say I am protected and other times it asks if I want to fix it which I say yes. Then it says it can't fix it because of an error. Then the next time it is fine. Go figure! It's really very frustrating not knowing if you are protected or not and then they can't fix it, sometimes. I guess this isn't the same problem that you are having but I needed to vent! Nancy
