I have been warned that you should not try to uninstall the Google Chrome browser after it is installed, because it will make a real mess of your computer. A fellow OGS board member had just spent most of a day wiping his hard drive and reinstalling everything else after accidentally installing Chrome due to a permission hidden in the fine print on something else.
