    1. [AOL-RW] AOL 9.5
    2. Is anyone using Version 9.5? If so, how is it working? I'm on V9 SE and am getting a lot of runtime errors... when I first log on and now each time a new message comes in, so I thought about downloading 9.5, but haven't heard if it is a good release. Can someone help? Norma

    2. :Joan My son just had the same problem and I told him to download firefox and the problem is gone. I also was afraid to get it but it works fine with aol thankssssssssssssssssss for everything ema I got that message once when using the AOL IE 7 browser on Facebook and just clicked to close it and haven't seen it since. BUT...I don't find that Facebook and its apps run well with IE. I mostly use Firefox for those sites--plus it is a more secure browser. It's free--so you can download it and use it regardless of whether you use AOL's IE browser elsewhere. Joan

    1. Re: [AOL-RW] MSIE 8 and AOL problems
    2. Now THAT I don't know (I have 3 GIGs of RAM) ... but I DO find that Firefox seems to use less of your computer resources than the AOL browser does (I can tell when I look at the system monitor in my VISTA Windows sidebar). Sometimes on a site like Facebook (and its apps) I'd find AOL freezing or crashing on me or the menu icons disappearing (the ones for people, IM, etc.) because of the amount of resources some of those sites use up. I don't find that to be the case when I use Firefox separately. Joan In a message dated 1/3/2010 10:31:33 A.M. 1. Re: [AOL-RW] MSIE 8 and AOL problems
    2. Julee- It isn't as if you have to "switch over" to Firefox exactly. You can use BOTH browsers. I have BOTH my AOL IE 7 browser open right now and also have Firefox open on another site. You don't have to give up anything to use an additional browser like Firefox or Google Chrome. Use whichever works best for any given Web site. I always use Firefox for Facebook and its apps just because I find it to be faster and it works better there. For some other sites I just use the AOL browser. I've even been known to have the same Web site open at the same time on both browsers and move back and forth between them. Joan In a message dated 1/3/2010 6:17:16 A.M. 1. [AOL-RW] Need help with google problem, please
    2. I have located a good number of articles & obituaries of some of my relatives in the google 'news' ...... But I cannot get to view them, the page remains on my screen as very teeny-tiny. I see when I click on the archive-help that there is supposed to be showing the icons for zooming and moving around the page, etc. .......but it is not on my screen. I went in and 'signed up' with my email addy and a password that they ask (which I hope is not a big mistake and opens me up to spam and junk-stuff); but it doesn't make any difference and when I go back in, everything is still the same as before. I thought after doing that the icons for zooming would appear, but still nothing. I just want to see the words enough to get the 'meat' of the articles, but it's impossible - and very frustrating. Anybody know what to do? Had this problem? Have suggestions or experience? Is the problem with me, google, or my AOL set-up? Thank you in advance for anything, please.
