    1. Re: [AOL-RW] 3 questions/problems with email
    2. Another question regarding email. Is it the Mucinex affecting my eyes, upgrading to Windows 7 or AOL changes that makes the email Date, From, Reply To, and To sections at the top of the email blurry? The text within the email also seems greenish. The mail listing in the mailbox is fine, but I get this color/blurry problem upon opening the email. Ruth Cherecwich

    2. i personally do not care one bit for their changes. i'm so used to the way things have been the past 14+ years that i've been with them. everyday it seems like something new or different happens without any warning or 'heads up' from aol. one thing i find very aggravating is that it takes much longer for the email to be sent and off of my screen and takes forever to show up in the 'sent mail' folder. i wish they'd just leave things alone! julee In a message dated 1/16/2010 2:01:05 A.M. Can't say exactly when this started but I've also noticed it plus I've noticed that mail sent internally from one AOL user to another has HEADER info now just like mail going/coming to/from the Internet. I've also noticed that our screen names no longer reflect an capital letters we used to include in them -- in other words instead of my screen name showing in emails as JYoung6180 it now just shows as jyoung6280. All of this would seem to indicate that AOL is starting to make its email client more in tune with Internet standards than in the past. Joan

    2. 1) on occasion i will want to forward an email to someone at a later date so i put it in 'mail waiting to be sent' folder until i'm ready to send it. when i am ready and want look at it in the 'mail waiting to be sent' folder prior to sending, it is totally blank. i have no option to scroll down in the contents, the 'slide bar' on the right side is not there. i have to send it to myself first before i can see it then forward it from there. is this something new or a problem?? i never had this problem until the past 2 days and it bothers me. 2) when i receive an email from another aol user (example: firemannn1234) and i click on 'reply', it automatically adds _'@aol.com'_ (mailto:'@aol.com') to their email address on the reply email so now i'm replying back to _'firemannn1234@aol.com_ (mailto:'firemannn1234@aol.com) . i've never seen that happen before and thought that email between 2 aol users did not have to have the _'@aol'_ (mailto:'@aol') on their address yet aol automatically adds it now!?!?!?) is that normal or new? 3) when i send an older email from myself to myself it seems to take longer for it to come right back to me as 'new mail' taking approx. 10-15 seconds where it used to be sent/received in an instant. is aol so bogged down that its taking longer now? i'm using 9.0SE and have never had these things happen before. i'm clueless as to why these things are happening and wonder if anyone has any idea why all of a sudden they are happening now or is having the same issues i'm having. thanks! julee

I'd call back and if you get the same advice I'd ask to speak to a supervisor and explain in detail that there must be something wrong with you accent (the mailbox anyway) that is causing this to happen. See if that helps. Joan In a message dated 1/15/2010 11:18:01 A.M. Eastern Standard Time, roulx@aol.com writes: Walter, I use AOL 9.1. One thing I'm not sure about. Usually when an email is sent from one person on AOL to another on AOL directly--there are no headers. Your message had headers.

    2. Joan, I recall that you mentioned that AOL is fooling around with their eMail software, and strange things are happening: I'm getting headers on some return receipts, but not all eMail marked for return receipt is generating a return receipt. After I send an eMail to some 20 eMail addresses, all as 'bcc', when I check the online 'sent mail', the eMail addresses can be in the reverse order of the order in which they appeared in the eMail when sent.
