Hi, everyone, I have been trying for two days to get to My Account and get in a loop between My Screen Name and another AOL URL. Is anyone else having a problem? Maybe it's because so many people are trying to access their accounts. I wanted to check my payment plan to make sure my switch to the $9.95 plan went through. Vanette
Yes, there is one other site that says it requires a cookie enabled browser that I used to use. I also tried that in IE with no results. Emptied all of the temporary files. Tried the hard refresh. Nothing seems to help. I am going to call a friend this morning to see if he can help me. Thanks for all the suggestions. Kay
Kay I had a similar problem recently with the Ancestry search page, which was cured by deleting the cache. I was using Firefox rather than AOL or IE, but wonder if you may need to do the same? AOL 9 help tells me - To clear the browser cache (Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 and higher) 1. Click the Settings icon on the AOL toolbar. 2. In the Settings window, click Internet Settings. 3. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Files. 4. Click OK. Anne > > In a message dated 8/10/2006 7:18:42 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, > Mkdb1405@aol.com writes: > > I did get into IE. There is a drop down box at the bottom of this page that allows you to either: Cancel My Pending Price Plan or Edit my present plan. I just wish it said something about dial up in the Pending Price Plan but it doesn't. I went to the Change Plan site day before yesterday and clicked the 9.95 button and got the acknowledged page which said to go to keyword My Account to verify the change. I went there and it was showing the usual 23.31 fee due on 9 Sep. Yesterday, I went back there again and it was the same. I went to Change Plan and clicked on the 9.95 button again, but it still did not change. How long does it take for it to verify the change? By the way, what was wrong with the AOLers site yesterday? I did not get a single message from them, but have received 3 or 4 this morning. Lloyd

I have no idea what rebuilding the adapter involves. Kay --------------------- Kay, Rebuilding the adaptor is a simple one-click procedure, but since you are having the same result with IE, I doubt that AOL's adaptor has become corrupted. This is most likely not an AOL problem. Can you get to other websites or is Ancestry the only thing that comes up blank? If it's only Ancestry, try doing a hard refresh by loading the Ancestry page (even if it's blank) and then holding down the shift key while you click on the refresh button. The refresh button on AOL is to the left of the browser box where you entered the URL and looks like circle with an arrow at the end. Sharon
I did get into IE. I never use it and didn't think about that. But it is still the same result. And they sent me my password, which I had, but still get only the blank page. Nearly all computers (not Mac) come with IE loaded at purchase. AOL bundles their own version of IE within their program and doesn't use the IE that came with the computer. You should still have the independent IE on your computer unless you have uninstalled it. You should also be able to sign onto the Internet with AOL, minimize that program and then click on the blue e and have IE launch. Sharon
I don't have IE independent of AOL. Kay

If you can successfully log in with IE, then perhaps you will need to rebuild your adaptor. Sharon
Thank you. I will see if that works. Kay

If you haven't changed your email address try going to the message boards and clicking on LOGIN. Then click on FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD? Request all account info information for your email address. You will get a confirmation email that will include a link so you can reset your password(s). Try logging in under each account if you have more than one--until you find the one that recognizes you.
