I make file folders and put them in there by category. I try to leave one url between folders so I can move ones in easily to the alpha place. if I want one to be at the top I rename them and use a 1- in front of the name to remind me that is important That also works in your files on your puter. Patricia, have you thought about putting them in folders? You can label the folders alphabetically, or by subject, or in any other way that makes it easier for you to find the one you want. Patricia, In a word: NO. There isn't any way to do what you need. The ONLY way to make things easier for yourself would be to just manually alphabetize them. Bummer, isn't it? I have several hundred on my fav list and I have had to just bite the bullet and sort them manually. I have set up multiple folders with additional alphabetizing inside each of those, too. Imagine my exasperation when, during testing, when the favs were to be kept online ALL my alphabetizing went out the window!! It took me hours to get it all back again. The Devs have been asked and asked year in and year out to provide the ability to sort or find or alphabetize the Favorites lists. Deaf ear is all we ever got. They've been studying that about 8 years now. Don't hold your breath. Sharon ------------------------ In a message dated 8/5/2008 1:46:14 P.M. Patricia --------------------------- Patricia, I set up folders in my Favorite Places and save web sites according to topics. If you click on the Favorites button (with the heart) on your task bar, then click on "new" and then hi-light the little circle that says "New Folder" give it a title according to the topics of your web sites. Some of my titles are Census Web Sites, Cemetery Information, Puzzle Web Sites, Game Sites, Greeting Cards, names of specific states where I do genealogy research such as OHIO, MISSOURI, NORTH DAKOTA, etc. Then you can drag & drop the web sites into the Folders for that topic. Recently the list discussed the AOL rate Changes imposed on members. My reminder to those who (like me) think they AOL rate increases are unfair and arbitrary by AOL management against its membership without any justification, must remember to go to your MY ACCOUNT, and when you see their page, you MUST edit the Price Plan they now show you. IF you are on Dial-up (like me) and want your $9.99 plan back you must change it and save. AOL broke the contract it had with its membership and now AOL offer much less for the AOL plans.
