    1. Re: [AOL-RW] Help with Mail
    2. Ann- First check the archives of your subscribed lists: http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ and see whether any mail has been posted to your lists. Next, if you think you have missed list mail you should have received--check https://myaccount.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ to be sure you really are still subscribed to your lists. If all is well with your subscriptions--next check your personal customer sender filter for your AOL mailbox--to be sure you are not blocking mail from any list posters. 2. I HAVE Quick View. I have 9.0 security and i have the old fashion toolbar. I have not gone modern or updated So that is why I am being neglected I dont like everything new anymore If it was up to me I would stop time to 25 years ago and still be wrinkle free looooool Lucky Ema From: "Judy Florian" <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [AOL-RW] A new annoyance To: [email protected] Message-ID: Open your mail screen.... On the RIGHT SIDE of NEW mail screen, it's got this box that is almost as tall as the full window height. In the middle is your list of new mail. Put your cursor on any one new mail in the list, and "Quick Read" is there showing what's in the content of that email. Below the box are two buttons, one for read the full text. Gee, I can do THAT myself without a "quick read" thing. It's a waste of "real estate" on the mail screen, it's useless, and annoying. So I don't know why you'd feel neglected. If you don't show Quick Read, rejoice! I gotta go find how to make it go away. Sharon said there were arrows??? 1. Re: [AOL-RW] Trouble Posting on Boards with AOL
    2. I assume from your posts about AOL Boards you are speaking about AOL and not Ancestry or Rootsweb lists. Many of the AOL boards for comments, are filled with faulty servers and operators that do not like the AOL member Comment of its readers. This is not unusual. AOL has drastically changed its NEWS presentations and formats over the past few years. Not much difference in them and CNN or MSNBC, each are lousy presenters of News. IF you are trying to mention trouble with Ancestry Message Boards, you should follow the directions they list to look for answers or contact their HELP. 2. For those that want to see what we are talking about...... 1) look to the right-hand side of the mailbox page. 2) find small, tiny arrow in the middle of the right side. 3) click on it. You have opened Quick Read. 4) click on same arrow to close. 5) the double arrows in the area to the left of the Quick Read window is for changing the size of the Quick Read pane. 2. Judy, Yes, there are arrows. I think the ones I referred to were the wrong arrows though. I keep my Quick Read closed at all times. I think it's a great annoyance. So please forgive me for referring to the wrong arrows. The ONE arrow you should be looking for is to the extreme right, approximately in the middle of the page (the top and bottom way not the side to side way). My curser changes to a hand when I hover over this arrow. Click on that arrow and the Quick Read will slide closed. Sharon -------------------------------- In a message dated 9/9/2008 4:19:46 A.M.
