    1. Re: [AOL-RW] Windows XP update
    2. Judy- It is always wise to have a restore point in case you run into problems --you can then revert to the status prior to the failed update attempt. Vista does this automatically whenever anything new is installed. If you installed SP3 and are not having problems--then you should be ok. Joan <---thinking maybe we need to stick to more closely AOL-related issues on this list but glad you have resolved the issues surrounding SP3 for XP. In a message dated 9/23/2008 1:23:26 P.M. 3. LOL Ema, no... I think they're out to make us all paranoid ("They're out to get me."). They have written out "scripts" of what to say and macros for "usual fixes" and they just don't seem to know how to deviate from them. I once had a Norton supervisor on the phone and we were waiting for my computer to do the step. I tried making pleasant small-talk with him (instead of silence) and he really seemed uncomfortable. My best question was asking him about living conditions in his country, especially in 110-degree heat, and current economics of his country.
