John is not found in the '61 census, it is his 2 sons, Alexander and George, that appear there. On his son George's birth registration in 1855, John's birth place is said to be Aberdeen. He is said to be the informant of his wife, Elizabeth's, death in 1956 at Dundee. That is the last reference of him that I have been able to find.
