My 3G grandmother was Isobel Winter born 1785, Dundee. She married David Warden of Kirriemuir and they had three children. Two sons, David (1810 Kirrie) and James (1820 Kirrie), went to Australia. The daughter Isobel b. 1814 Kirriemuir married William Stormonth of Tannadice. That is all I have definitively on that generation of Winters. But I have that Isobel b. 1785 is possibly the daughter of David Winter of Kirriemuir. I think his wife was Isobel Smith. Do you think there is a connection and/or can you give me any pointers to confirm (or not) more information?
