Ann Gibson Sinclair, daughter of John Sinclair and Isabella Miller, was born on 7 and baptised on 21 September 1823 in Brechin. John Sinclair and Isabella Miller were married in Brechin on 21 March 1804, and must be the parents of Isabel, born 1805 in Musselburgh (a long way from Brechin in those days!) and John, born 1809 in Brechin. There's a George born in Kirkden in 1836 to James Pilmer and Margaret Sinclair, so there's another daughter. There is a family in the 1841 census that looks very peculiar in the light of the 1851 and 1861: Donald McDonald 25 Labourer Not Angus Margaret McDonald 25 Angus Isabella McDonald 55 Flax spinner Angus Ann McDonald 15 Flax spinner Angus George Pilmer 6 Angus I think this must be Isabella Miller and Ann Sinclair wrongly listed as McDonald. There is no trace of them as Sinclair in FreeBMD Donald McDonald and Margaret Sinclair had two sons: John, born 17 and baptised 27 June 1841 and Charles, born 1 August and baptised 7 August 1842, both in Brechin. As Donald Sr was still living in 1861, there ought to be a death certificate, unless he too emigrated. If there is, it ought to tell you the names of his parents. FamilySearch has just one Donald McDonald born in Rosskeen, 19 December 1809, parents Charles McDonald and Katherine Ross. I note with interest that your Donald named a son Charles and gave Georgina the middle name Ross. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
