    3. Any surviving Poor House records would be with the Local authority responsible. For Forfar, that would be Angus Archives at Restenneth; for Glasgow, try the Mitchell Library, Glasgow. Please note that many of these records have vanished over the years, so there is no guarantee that they exist now. She died in the Poor House Forfar in 1865. She is listed under the name Sarah KYLE...her name is actually Sarah COYLE. The heading is Sarah McGunagall..she is the widow of my gr.gr.grandfather Hugh McGonigal/McGunigal who died 1863 in the Glasgow Poor House. His name is spelled McGunagall on the cert. The informant is Thomas FULTON..who is the father of Mary FULTON who married Sarah and Hugh's son John McGonigal/McGunigal in Forfar 1863...born Glasgow 1838. Thomas FULTON is married to Mary ROBERTSON. Everything connects...what I want to know is where can I find the Poor House records for around 1865 ? Any help would be appreciated Thanks Frank McGonigal Ont.Canada ------------------------------ To contact the ANGUS list administrator, send an email to ANGUS-admin@rootsweb.com.
