I tried the births, as wide a search then more accurate with no luck. The 1905 census has no record but the 1901 does yet when I tried it again it failed. I know the boys James and William Jnr grew up in the Carnoustie area as they played football for the local team. I really wanted to trace Catherine's maiden name and the birth of Willian Jnr as well as the sister. The sister might have given me a link to an existing family and Catherine may have done the same. I have already established the U.S. side and been in contact but they don't know much at this point. Thanks for your help Brian.
